You may be forgiven in thinking that all sheepskins are equal, and that any marketed as "medical" will do the same job. This is not true!
What is AS4480.1?
There is actually a strict set of standards, known as AS4480.1, set by Australia's premier scientific research agency, the CSIRO, as to what can be defined at medical sheepskin. This is based on years of research and studies that have proven the medical properties of sheepskin manufactured to this standard.
All of our sheepskin products have been manufactured to meet and exceed this standard and any sheepskin products on other sites that do not specifically mention meeting this standard, probably does not. Buyer beware!
Our products are already in use in hospitals, aged care nursing homes, and by many in their own homes to effectively prevent bed pressure ulcers.
